Design Kelsa - Fair Trade Scarves - Supporting The Artist In Every Child

Supporting the free-spirited artist in every child

I came across the Design Kelsa project when I was in Delhi earlier this year and was very touched by the artistry in these delightful scarf prints, the result of weekly Art Workshops with underprivileged children in Gurgaon India. Each scarf is signed by the the young artist who created the design and comes with a cute floral ‘tie’.

All profit from the sale of these at Juniper Hearth is going back to contribute towards the cost of books and midday meals for the pre-school children and scholarships for older children into formal school programs put together by the Ambience Learning Centre.

In the Berry store NOW and e-Emporium in November

Christmas gift shopping is noticeably underway and am delighted to report that 4 were snapped up within the first hour of biz yesterday – all as Christmas presents. A joy to give or receive these are available in the Berry store and in the e-store in early November at $45.
